Click on our latest January/February 2019 issue below to learn why we need more awareness to prevent suicides from happening; our World Bipolar Day celebration where we pay tribute to Vincent Van Gogh and our local artists who express their emotions that surround their mental condition; How to Avoid a Crisis, and more. . In the meantime, if you need help, remember our national web site, NAMI.org has a lot of tips and information as to how to get help weather you be a family member trying to help a loved one or an individual trying to cope with diseases such as depression, bipolar, or others. Below, we talk about Anosognosia, which is a form of denial - it is said that when someone rejects a diagnosis of mental illness, it is tempting to say that they are "in denial."

Don't let Anosognosia, prevent you from getting help - treatment works, medication works, and good old fashioned support from family and friends makes life better for all concerned. Reach out - seek help.
